MegaStrike was founded in 2000 by Bobby Uhrig; starting out with one single product, MegaStrike Fish Attractant; 9 years of research and development where put into the making of our attractant for perfection. Once introduced to the public, the company quickly gained an admirably upstanding name for itself and has vastly expanded over the years; now producing 7 lines of products and still flourishing.
MegaStrike first introduced the e2 jig to the industry at the 2006 I-Cast, winning Best of Show in the Hard Lure class. As soon as MegaStrike's 2010 & 2011 products hit the shelves they were already a hit. We have had articles in large and small magazines worldwide as well as mentioned on TV/radio shows, blogs, forums, YouTube, etc. The Cavitron has just been listed in the top 10 Legends of Lures by Field and Stream magazine.
Upon releasing our new line of soft plastics, BassWest was quick to write up a fantastic feature for their December article. Our Shak-E2 heads are taking charge over all Shakey heads and have introduced a new meaning to power shaking. BassMaster magazine just recently wrote an article on the art of shaking fishing with our Shak-E2 heads; in May we hit the cover of BassMaster magazine.
We have had some amazing reviews from all over the industry on our different products, from our formula to our Shak-E heads. We now have many products all with the good reputation of MegaStrike backing them up; we now carry 4 different types of Attractants-Pike, Crawfish, Garlic and Original. The Cavitron BuzzBait is one of the worlds most known BuzzBait names, our StrikeBack SpinnerBait is still baffling the minds of millions, the always-standing-up feature of the Shak-E2 head puts MegaStrike at the head of the line every time.
MegaStrike isn't just a quick fad, for the past decade and years to come we are constantly using science to improve our products. MegaStrike is truly dedicated to being revolutionary and a leader in fishing tackle technology.
Over the past year, we have picked up very large distributors over-seas, constantly growing in the European & Canadian market. After showing our products at the 2011 ICAST show, MegaStrike was asked to become part of a new Fishing Promotion in over 700 Walgreens store in the southern states.

Welcome, I am Bobby Uhrig founder and President of MegaStrike™ Incorporated. MegaStrike Inc's. office and state of the art manufacturing and packaging facility are located in Freehold NJ.
As a very young child I became totally captured by the sport of fishing. I remember my father taking me fishing from the time I could walk. Over the years my passion for the sport grew and I ventured onto the professional bass fishing tournament trail. My fishing skills progressed and I began to contemplate how to use science to increase my catch ratio. With the help of my long time friend and world renowned underwater photographer, Tim Simos, we embarked upon a study of fish in their natural environments. By filming fish reactions to various baits and techniques we observed true fish behaviors. I applied what we learned to the development of new and innovative fishing products.
My love for the sport grew through the years and I finally started fishing the Bassmasters Tournament Trail. It had to be one of the greatest adventures of my life. Seeing the most awesome sites, fishing the greatest lakes, and meeting some of the best friends you can imagine. I knew that the fishing industry was where I wanted to spend my life.
We have gone to some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry, environmental scientists, pro anglers, designers and fisheries biologists, to find the right formulas, and designs so we could bring to you the worlds most advanced line of fishing products.

The StrikeBack™ spinnerbait allows for a much deeper hookset than standard spinnerbaits because of the freedom in movement of the hook. No matter what direction a fish attacks the StrikeBack™, the hook or tail section will move freely as it is being inhaled.
There are several reasons why we designed the StrikeBack™ mid section to be jointed. First for a vibration effect. With the head being stationary and the tail section being loose, the bait will vibrate more than a solid bodied spinner bait. This will be detected by the fish's lateral line. Making it easier to detect in low light or dirty water conditions. When a fish inhales a standard spinner bait, it must move the whole spinner bait in order to get the tail section or hook into its mouth. With the StrikeBack™ Spinnerbait the tail section swings freely 180 degrees and the fish inhales just the hook section into its mouth. . When the bass gets hookedit will instinctively jump to try to dislodge the bait from its mouth. If the bait is in one piece and is stationary, this allows the bait to have the leverage to be thrown, therefore resulting in heartbreak and another sad story. The blades were designed to capture as much air as possible while rotating on the surface. It is this capturing of air that allows our blade to turn quicker (with less friction) at a much slower rate of retrieve. Thus allowing Cavitron™ to be "The slowest Buzzbait EVER!".
This was part of Cavitron's original design. It is this aspect of our Buzzbait that makes it so unique from others.
The Cavitron™ is designed to intrude deep into above-surface heavy cover as well as open-water areas (with underwater weed lines, trees, stumps, etc. being the prime targets).
THE PROP
The special engineered Cavitron Prop is deigned to capture more air as it turns. This feature will create an immense amount of air bubbles causing the prop to spin more freely. This ingenuity is what gives Cavitron that enticingly slow retrieve. It is being able to retrieve our buzzbait so slow that will greatly reduce those unforgettable missed strikes. THE Stealth Engineered Head
The Cavitron™ sports the new patented "Stealth" body. This design took Lee Bailey Jr almost three years to perfect and has greatly increased Cavitron's renowned ability to crawl across the surface. The "Stealth" design acts a keel in the water keeping our buzzbait running true with the hook staying straight up. THE VIBRATION
One of the most overlooked aspects to conventional buzzbaits are their lack of vibration. Cavitron is built with a .040 wire for more vibration. You always hear about vibration being important on spinnerbait wire, but wire vibration never comes up with buzzbaits. Most buzzbaits have stiff .051 wire.
Cavitron was designed with the knowledge wire vibration was just as important for buzzbaits as spinnerbaits, using a heavy duty yet higher vibe .040 diameter wire to enhance the vibration. Most other buzzbaits don't have the high-vibe wire like the Cavitron.

The head lands the correct way every time you use the bait. There is a fulcrum on the bottom of the bait which is a balancing point. What that does is hydro dynamically balance the head. The e2 Shakey Head lands on that fulcrum every time .
It keeps the bait in an upright position and keeps the nose down and the tail up off the bottom. There is a counter balance head which allows the bait to roll forward every time the bait is moved. In place of a typical ball shaped head in the front, MegaStrike's New e2 Shakey Head has incorporated a football style head to give it even more stability from falling over on its side. MegaStrike's e2 Shakey Head is the first to offer a dual rigging system so the angler can rig the bait exposed hook (for open water situations) and weedless for fishing the heaviest and thickest cover. The New e2 Shakey Head is powder coated NOT painted for fishing around rocky conditions. We offer Mustad Ultra-point hooks for Sharpness -strength and durability. We recessed the eye of the hook into the head of the bait to decrease the heads snagging ability.
Bait Keeper
Another amazing feature with the e2 Shakey head is the head has two keeper collars. One collar to thread soft baits onto the jig hook shank as in traditional exposed hook jig fishing. The second keeper collar lets you rig baits weedless (aka shakey jig style) when snags are present.
MegaStrike owner Bobby Uhrig shared a little tip that he's been rigging smaller swimbaits on the e2 Shakey heads, since he finds that the fulcrum plate can work almost like a crankbait lip, giving more swimming action to swimbaits.

Now for one of the most Innovative creations from MegaStrike Fishing. The 41/2 inch MEGABUG. Unlike most of the other beaver style baits on the market, the MegaBug is spewing with action. The claws are flapping the two sets of legs are swimming; it looks like this little bug is scurrying for its life. The body is ribbed and the legs and claws displace plenty of water. The MegaBug is not only a great visual bait but the vibrations are easily detected by the fishs lateral lines. It is a great bait for flipping heavy mats of grass, fishing rocks or heavy cover. One of the most productive baits for catching largemouth bass, small mouth bass, walleye and a host of other fish is the tube bait. MegaStrike Fishing now introduces the New Mega Tube Craw. Unlike other tube baits with no lifelike definition, the MegaTube Craw has the life like body of a real crawfish with the tentacles of a tube bait.
